WHY THE U.S. LEFT UNESCO
UN Watch's, Hillel Neuer
i24 News 'One on One' 2017 (2.35)
"Between 2009-2014, UNESCO adopted 46 resolutions against Israel; 1 on Syria; and zero on Iran, Sudan, North Korea, or any other country in the world. UNESCO paid tribute to mass murderer Che Guevara, elected Syria to its human rights committee, and created prizes named after the dictators of Bahrain and Equitorial Guinea, whose ruler Obiang says God empowered him to kill whomever he wants. UNESCO has a noble founding mission, but that has been completely hijacked by the world's worst tyrannies and supporters of terror. And democracies like France & Sweden, who supported UNESCO's most absurd and vitriolic resolutions—accusing Israel of 'planting fake Jewish graves'—bear responsibility for helping to destroy this agency."

U.S. WITHDRAWAL FROM THE UN HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL: IMPACT AND NEXT STEPS
The Heritage Foundation< 19 Jul 2018 (58.11)
On June 19, the United States announced that it was officially withdrawing from the UN Human Rights Council. Prior to the announcement, the U.S. had engaged in extensive diplomatic efforts for more than a year to address the critical flaws of the Council, including persistent bias against Israel and the ability of human rights violators to win elections to the Council and undermine its effectiveness. Only after these efforts failed, did the U.S. withdraw. However, the U.S. also stated that was open to rejoining the Council if it were reformed. What reforms are necessary for the U.S. to return to the Council? Does U.S. withdrawal affect its financial support of and
engagement with the Council, UN human rights experts,
or the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights?
How will the U.S. continue to advance its human rights agenda outside of the Human Rights Council?
IS THE UN FAIR TO ISRAEL?
PRAGERU 2014 (5.31)
Israel is a vibrant democracy with full rights for women and gays, a free press and independent judiciary. You would think that the United Nations would celebrate such a country. Instead, the UN condemns Israel at every turn to the point of obsession. How did this happen? Anne Bayefsky, director of the Touro Institute on Human Rights,
explains in five eye-opening minutes.

ISRAEL - PRIME MINISTER
ADDRESSES GENERAL DEBATE,
73RD SESSION
United Nations 2018 (40.35)
Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the State of Israel, addresses the general debate of the 73rd Session of the General Assembly of the UN (New York, 25 September - 01 October 2018).
Speaking at the 73rd gathering of the world leaders this week at the United Nations in New York, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Israel has discovered ‘Iran’s secret atomic warehouse,” which contained as much as 300 tons of nuclear related equipment and material.”
Standing at the podium of the General Assembly Israel’s Prime Minister showed images of alleged nuclear sites in Teheran, Iran, as well as one showing alleged Hezbollah’s “missile convergent sites along Beirut’s international airport” in Lebanon.
Netanyahu addressed directly Iran’s government and said “we will continue to act against you in Syria, we will act against you in Lebanon, we will act against you in Iraq, we will act against you wherever and whenever we must act to defend our state and to defend our people.”
He also said “I want to use this opportunity to express Israel’s appreciation to President Trump and Ambassador Haley for the unwavering support they provided Israel at the United Nations.”
The United States recently pulled out of the UN Human Rights Council, claiming the “bias against Israel” at the Council and
stop funding the
UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.
